Science rules… and keeps our drinking water safe!
Do you remember a favourite science experiment from school? Jeff sure does. Those early lessons had a big impact on him, and now this lifelong science buff works at the Region of Waterloo as an “inorganic technologist.”
He works in the Region’s lab, where he monitors and analyzes our community’s water to make sure it meets safety requirements. Our Environmental Enforcement and Laboratory Services team works hard providing biological, inorganic and organic testing.
Meet Jeff in the video below, and learn a little about his work and how it impacts you!
We hope you enjoyed meeting Jeff. The Region of Waterloo may be a large organization, but within it are thousands of people working to support their neighbours. This is part of a “Here For You” series to introduce you to the many faces and roles at the Region who are working to deliver programs and services you rely on every day.

Follow the Region’s social media accounts (X, Facebook and Instagram) to meet more of these employees. You can even ask questions and get answers from these folks as we go!
Meet the first person in our “Here For You” series: Will the arborist.
And our second feature: Michelle the Public Health Inspector.
Third was Kandace, who hits the roads in a snowplow when the weather turns nasty.
