Newly-redesigned Region websites connect you to the information you need
Get ready for a new look when you visit a Region of Waterloo website!
We’ve launched eight refreshed sites to help residents find information quickly and easily. The main Region of Waterloo homepage is completely redesigned, as well as the websites for:
- Grand River Transit
- Region of Waterloo International Airport
- Region of Waterloo Library
- Region of Waterloo Museums
- Alert Waterloo Region
- Waterloo Regional Heritage Foundation
- Waterloo Region Immigration Partnership
For an organization with as many programs and services as the Region of Waterloo, this was a major project. Our goal? To serve the community better and help people quickly and easily find the right information.
These new webpages were designed with extensive input from community members. We ran three rounds of user testing that gathered input from nearly 2,500 residents over the past year.
Some features and improvements include:
- A better experience on your phone
- The most-searched topics highlighted at the top of the page
- An enhanced search tool that highlights popular tasks and questions
- Over 600 pages have been trimmed across Region sites to provide a streamlined experience
