New food and drink choices take flight at YKF airport
Order up! The Region of Waterloo International Airport is celebrating the grand opening of Stockyards at YKF, the airport’s new food, beverage and retail provider! Located in the departures lounge, YKF passengers can now enjoy an assortment of delicious food options, drinks and more, while waiting to board their flight.
From the fresh dining experience to the grab-and-go items and retail, all of it is fueled by this community. This new food vendor celebrates products made right here in Waterloo Region, including, but not limited to, Big Jerk, Goodvibes Shots+, Horse & Buggy Brands, Poppy’s Bagels, and Snyder Acres maple syrup.
Stockyards also had their team create two signature YKF-branded beverages. Roastmaster Chris Johnston developed the YKF Jet Stream coffee, a light-roasted coffee blend with undertones of chocolate and cherry using fair trade Ethiopian beans. Brewmaster Brett Croft created a light beer with a sweet and dry flavour profile.

To add to the excitement, Stockyards also unveiled a line of YKF-branded apparel. These new YKF baseball hats, t-shirts and hoodies are now available for purchase in the departures lounge, at Stockyards Brewing in St. Jacobs and online at stockyardsbeverage.co, along with the YKF Jet Stream coffee and lager.
The next time you fly out of the Region of Waterloo International Airport, stop by Stockyards to enjoy a taste of Waterloo Region and celebrate the start of your journey. A valid boarding pass is required.
