New aerospace program launches in the Region of Waterloo
A groundbreaking new Aerospace Accelerator has launched in our community to foster innovation and develop cutting-edge aerospace technologies while contributing to economic and technological advancement right here in Waterloo Region.
The new initiative was launched February 1 by the Accelerator Centre, in collaboration with the Region of Waterloo and NAVBLUE.
This program will support 10 startups to grow and scale their business in Waterloo, cementing the Region’s position as an aerospace innovation hub.
Did you know? Waterloo Region is a leader in the aviation and aerospace industries, with 100+ companies working in materials testing and development, component and aircraft manufacturing and software and sensor technology. Our talented workforce, local research capacity and legacy of manufacturing and tech innovation, all made Waterloo Region a great fit for this new Aerospace Accelerator.
Applications for the program open on February 1, 2024 and will remain open until February 22, 2024. In March, the top 10 companies will begin working with the Accelerator Centre and the Region of Waterloo to accelerate their growth.
