Help find solutions to end chronic homelessness in Waterloo Region2 min read
Reading Time: 2 minutesThe number of people who are currently experiencing homelessness in Waterloo Region is higher than ever before.
The Region of Waterloo is working in collaboration with community partners to develop a roadmap of strategies, resources and timelines to end chronic homelessness in Waterloo Region. Together, in 2023, our community will co-create The Plan to End Chronic Homelessness (The Plan).
“This will be a plan created in the community, by the community, for the community. We encourage everyone to share your voice to help find solutions,” said Kelly-Anne Salerno, Assistant Director Housing Operations and Administration.
The Social Development Centre Waterloo Region (SDCWR) is also helping develop The Plan in the coming months. The centre is facilitating pilot projects led by experts with lived experience.
