GRT’s fall service adds three new routes, starting Sept. 2
Grand River Transit began its fall service schedule on Monday, September 2, on a holiday service schedule. Regular weekday service began on Tuesday, September 3.
Three new routes will launch along with service increases and stop adjustments. All updated bus schedules have been added to the Schedules page and the GRT trip planner.
New routes
- Route 62 Speedsville: 30-minute service to the Cambridge Business Park area from Sportsworld Station.
- Route 78 Fountain: 30-minute service between Region of Waterloo International Airport and Sportsworld Station from 6-10 a.m., 2-7 p.m. and 10:30-11:30 p.m. Route 61 will be renamed Route 61 Preston.
- Route 91 Late Night Loop: 30-minute service between Queen Station and University of Waterloo Station, Thursday to Saturday.
Increased service
- Routes 8, 12, 13, 19, 61 and 201: 15-minute service extended to 10 p.m. on weekdays.
- Route 16: 15-minute service from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.
- Route 21: Service extended to 10 p.m. on weekdays, and new 30-minute Sunday service added running from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Route 23: New 30-minute Sunday service from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Route 57: 30-minute service extended to 10 p.m. on weekdays.
- Route 203: Weekday trips to Conestoga College Doon campus extended to end of service.
Platform changes
- Ainslie Street Terminal: Route 51 will serve stop 1512, and Route 206 will serve stop 1515.
- Cambridge Centre Station: Route 60 will serve stop 1065.
Stop changes
- To improve travel times and make bus service more reliable, some stops will be removed from service on Sept. 2, 2024. More details available on the Stop Changes page.
Schedule adjustments
- Revised schedules on the following routes: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 14, 20, 22, 23, 26, 29, 30, 31, 33, 34, 35, 36, 50, 53, 55, 56, 65, 67, 110, 202, 204, 205 and 302.
