Doors Open Waterloo Region back in-person for first time in four years1 min read

Get set for a day of discovery! Doors Open Waterloo Region has been a staple event in our community since 2003. This free event returns on Saturday, September 16.

Between from 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., visitors can go behind-the-scenes and get exclusive access to 20 local sites featuring gorgeous architecture, local heritage and fascinating people and their stories. Admission to all Doors Open sites is always free. 

This year’s program boasts beautiful churches, a research lab, locomotives, libraries, an art studio and spaces that have been adapted and transformed. There are rural 1800s community spaces and sleek new urban builds, a TV studio, and a warehouse where a local engineer (and global personality) turns fiction into reality.

This is Doors Open WR’s first return to in-person programming since 2019.
