Winter snow does add complexity to curbside collection. We ask that during these winter months, residents take special care when placing their boxes, bins and bags for collection.

Please place items at the end of your driveway at ground level and as close to the street as possible. Safety and accessibility are key.

Items placed on top of or behind snowbanks cannot be collected as they can cause a safety hazard for collection staff. Likewise for items placed the side of the sidewalk opposite from the road.

If you use white garbage bags during the winter months, please put them inside a garbage can. White bags camouflage well in the snow and sometimes get missed during collection.
