Grand River Transit is inviting the community to Pride with us!

Pride Month is a time of celebration for the Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning, intersex and asexual+ (2SLGBTQIA+) community, and an opportunity for GRT and the Region of Waterloo to reaffirm our commitment to creating welcoming and inclusive spaces for everyone.

Throughout the month of June, keep an eye out for the GRT Pride bus, which will travel on conventional bus routes in Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge. All GRT buses will also have Pride decals near the front doors.

To show support for the community, Pride T-shirts will also be available for sale to the public at GRT Customer Service Centres, starting June 1. All proceeds from the T-shirt sales will be going to Spectrum, which supports the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in the Region of Waterloo.

“We’d like to thank Grand River Transit and the Region of Waterloo for their partnership and for encouraging our entire community to ‘Pride with us’ this year,” said Scott Williams, Executive Director, Spectrum. “Spectrum is committed to providing meaningful programs and support for 2SLGBTQIA+ people in our community and this collaboration will help us as we continue to deliver much-needed supports.”
