Buy tickets on the go with new GRT Pay app
Grand River Transit riders now have more options to buy fares, using a new GRT Pay app.
The new tool launched in March. It lets you buy single-ride GRT tickets anytime from anywhere, using a mobile device.
The goal is to make it easier for everyone to ride public transit – whether you’re riding GRT buses, ION trains, MobilityPLUS vehicles or Kiwanis Transit.
Here’s how to buy tickets with the new app:
The new GRT Pay app has also been integrated with the existing “Transit” app, which GRT users could already use to plan trips.
You can also buy tickets on the GRT Pay website, or at any GRT Customer Service Centre.
When paying your fare using GRT Pay or the Transit app, just show the operator your activated ticket on your mobile device. There’s no need to scan on the fare box. Simply display and enjoy the ride!
The app is free to download. Search ‘GRT Pay’ or ‘Grand River Transit’ in the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. The app is available on iOS or Android.
