Viva Las Vegas! Elvis celebrates new flights at Waterloo Region airport
Elvis has not left the building… he boarded a plane to Vegas!
The Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF) has just launched new flights to Las Vegas, Nevada. And the King of Rock’n’Roll paid a visit to help celebrate the very first flight.
The YKF departures lounge full of excited passengers found themselves in the middle of an interactive performance. Playing all the hits, including “Viva Las Vegas,” the Elvis impersonator gave the inaugural flight the perfect send-off.
The new route to Las Vegas by Flair Airlines offers new entertainment for Waterloo Region travellers. From top restaurants and luxury hotels to premier sporting events and world-class performers, with proximity to the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas is one of the entertainment capitals of the world.
The new service also represents a significant milestone in the continued growth and development of air travel in Waterloo Region.
The Region of Waterloo International Airport is the fastest-growing airport in Canada and since Flair arrived in 2021, passenger traffic has continued to grow. This growth has triggered an expansion project that has doubled the size of the air terminal building to meet increased demand. Over the course of 2023, a total of 445,312 passengers travelled through YKF.
Anyone interested in experiencing the bright lights and excitement of Las Vegas can book a non-stop flight from YKF with Flair Airlines. One-way fares from the Waterloo Region to Las Vegas start at $59, including taxes and fees.
